Life with Boys
Follow me! You know you want to.

Wasn’t sure I would like this movie, Fast Five.  I enjoyed the first one, but Hayden wanted to see this so badly after seeing all the cars that were in the movie.  Glad I watched it… really fun movie!  And the cars… WHOA!

Now, before I share this, I want to be clear… I don’t think Roy would cheat on me. Ever!  I trust him, and I know he values our marriage and respects me too much to do something like this.

This morning I was listening to my playlist and Before He Cheats by Carrie Underwood came on.

I dug my keys into the side of his pretty little, souped up 4 wheel drive
Carved my name into its leather seats
Took a Louisville Slugger to both headlights
Slashed a hole in all four tires

Girl is vicious!  So, I was joking, and I sang and danced over to Roy’s office and stuck my head in.

“OK, babe.  Now that you have a car you like to baby and love… I’ll tell you right now, you ever cheat on me… that’s what I’m gonna do to your car.”  I blew him a kiss and danced away again, giggling to myself.

Why, you ask?  Because right before I grooved on out of there, I saw some real fear in Roy’s eyes… for just a second… some real fear.

As you might have noticed, Roy replied to some of my fun facts.  Let me post my rebuttal:

1) About a month ago, Roy and I got tattoos.  Mine wraps around my wrist and says “Dance Like A Fool.” Roy’s says “Forget How To Breathe”  But no matter what his tattoo says, he is still amazing enough to take my breath away daily.

3) Umm… so, you didn’t like when I talked trash at the basketball court?  You know I’m funny… don’t front.

5) NOPE!  You got your car. Can’t you just let me have my magazines?  I’ve gotten better… right?  Maybe?

10) No, I am not a girly girl, but Roy is right… I LOVE my purses - specifically Michael Kors purses.  The soft leather, the rich colors… what’s not to love?  Oh wait, the price tag maybe!

11) I only miss the Prius at the gas pump, and even then… not so much

13) I dig bald, but I only love one bald head… wait, does that sound dirty?

The boys only have three days left of school, and, truth be told, they aren’t doing a whole lot in classes.  Today Addi and Hayden asked if they could go to the store with me and I thought… why not?!

So, I picked Hayden up around 10:30 from school, and he and Dean jumped into the van.

“Mommy, how much does a Lamborghini cost?” Hayden asked.

I was stumped. How could I put this into terms he could understand?  When you’re 7, $20 is a lot of money.

“Are they like $3000?  That is a LOT of money!” Hayden continued.

“No, honey.  I’m not sure, but I think they are like 200k.  Maybe like the same price as a small house.”

“Oh.  They have doors that open up, you know?  Not sideways like our cars.”

“I know!  Isn’t that cool?” I asked him.

“Yeah, really cool.  Well, I want to get one when I get older.”

“That would be really cool, Daddy would like that.” I replied.

“Why don’t you buy Daddy one?  Can’t you go to the car store and buy one?” He pondered since he thinks we are made of money.

“Well, they are really expensive.  You have to be rich to get one.  And Mommy and Daddy just don’t have enough money right now.” I explained.

Hayden pondered this for awhile.  ”Well, when I get older, I’m gonna save my money for one.”

“You can do that.” I told him.

“Until I have enough money, I will just walk places.”

Ahh… to be young again!
