I think this is a repeat, but Hayden will be joining us for the QOTD!  He is learning to read and identify his letters with more confidence in first grade, and he asked to be a part of the family blog last night.  So, I let him pick the animal.

I think I would still go with my original answer-a megalodon.  This is a giant, prehistoric shark.  Estimates taken from teeth put this predator at around 67 feet!  (though I think that is one of the biggest on record, so that might be a max) But when i think of a shark I think of a fierce predator, something that will defend what belongs to it with everything it has.  Something I imagine all parents can identify with.

I will go with two:

1)my puppy of course!  We lost our little Daschund, Missy, a few weeks before Christmas.  R and I knew it was coming and toyed with the idea of getting a puppy.  We debated between a bulldog and a pug.  One night R was looking at breeders in the area and he stumbled across one not too far away.  I saw Shinobi and just fell in love.  He is the cutest thing, with his little wrinkley face, and big eyes.  I take him outside and he will do his thing and then just stare at me, telling me, “Come on lady, take me in already!”  He is gaining weight, and his chubby little tummy is so cute!

2) in the wild probably a shark.  They are so graceful, but completely tuned to their environment.  They act on instinct, and their strength is just phenomenal.  “Jaws” is one of my top 10 movies of all time, and probably one of the only movies that really scared me.
