A posed this question to me the other day. Actually he said if I could make my own game system what would it be and what would I call it, but that is just too much for me. R can pick them out, and I will write the check, or so we joke.
BUT, if I could make my own video game, I would do some sort of cooking time management game. I like bigfishgames.com. Every day I go there to see what the deal of the day is, and what the game of tomorrow is going to be. I have always liked the hidden object games, especially the ones with a spooky story attached to them. Ravenhurst, Return to Ravenhurst, and NIghtfall Mysteries: Curse of the Opera are a few of my favorite. one day I was bored and decided to download a free trial of Alice’s Teacup adventure. They call it a time management game, and basically you are a proprietor or a tea house and you have to serve your customers in the alloted time all while making the given amount of money. Well, I loved it! So, I downloaded Diner Dash, and a few others. They are silly, R and the boys have no interest in them, but I think they are a lot of fun.
So, I think I would do a cooking one. They have some out there, but they are pretty weak. I would want really beautiful colors and graphics, and I would have each level be a different type of cuisine. Southern cooking, Vegetarian cuisine, comfort foods, European foods, etc. You could of course customize your avatar (I guess that is what you would call the little person that you play as) with heair, eye color, clothing, sex etc.
Maybe I should have R and the boys make this for me…
