While we didn’t use cheap steak to try this method, it made for a wonderful steak. And I’m sure the cheap steaks would take kindly to the method too. We salted the steak for about a half hour. Rinsed them. Patted dry. Seasoned with a bit of rosemary and Montreal steak seasoning. And then slapped them on the grill. The result was a very tasty set of steaks. No marinade needed.
