Life with Boys
Follow me! You know you want to.

I do want to say my husband shamed me….here I am lusting after purses and shoes, and he is so sweet to say the boys and I are his status symbols.  What a guy!  Seriously, I married quite a man…a damn good man!

I am also ashamed to say that my experiment is not moving along quite as nicely as I had hoped.  The 15th was J’s birthday, and on their birthday they get to pick…ANYTHING they want.  Last year J had pumpkin pancakes and blueberry pancakes. One year A had chicken nuggets and egg rolls!  But this year, J wanted to a make your own pizza kind of thing.  I went to our local Martin’s and bought their whole wheat fresh pizza dough, pretty darn good!  I actually bought some of the more traditional stuff as well just in case the kids didn’t like it, but they all seemed to.  They even put some veggies on them!

Last night…dinner for breakfast.  I made my standard fruit salad, I have been making it so long I don’t even remember where I got the recipe!   C did some scrambled eggs, and we had some Cinni-mini’s. Tonight is a ‘free for all’ as the kids cal it, but tomorrow, it’s back to the recipe magazine!

Fruit Salad Recipe: (Serves about 4)

8 oz cream cheese (use regular cream cheese, low fat doesn’t taste the same!)

2 little tubs of yogurt (I have used Vanilla in this recipe, but everyone seems to like the key lime flavor)

1/2 cup sugar

Large can of peaches

Large can of Mandarin Oranges + a small can

large can of Pineapple wedges

a handful (or more if you like)of mini marshmallows

-Blend the first three ingredients until smooth.

-drain the fruit and add to the mix

-Add marshmallows right before serving.
