To clarify for my husband and kids. Something you don’t need as much of, or is bad for you that you are trying to cut down on.
I have two things specifically:
1) Eating out so much-I actually think we are on our way to this. My husband was off for a few weeks this holiday, and normally he and I would run out and eat without thinking about it, but we didn’t do that. In fact, we spent three quiet, easy days just hanging out together at home. Watching movies, talking…doing other things! (hehe) And then when we do eat out, like we did for our anniversary (Went to the Melting Pot and spent quite a bit!), it is special and we don’t think about the splurge and just enjoy it.
2) So much processed/snack food-I want my kids and especially my husband to eat healthier. (I am included in that of course) I want them to eat more fruits and be open to trying new vegetables. The guys all LOVE their meat, so I want them to try new cuts, maybe some bison meat, more fish and seafood. I think it will be fun to try and prepare something I am not familiar with-my first experiment will be…SCALLOPS! My favorite seafood, but the kids haven’t really tried it and I have never prepared it myself.
