We have been pretty lenient with the younger boys regarding where they sleep. Both Hayden and Dean have slept on a pallet on our bedroom floor for years. We got Hayden to sleep in his own bed for a while, but he got jealous of Dean sleeping in our room and one thing led to another and both sleep in our room now. We even have the old crib mattress in there. We have a pretty big room, so it’s not too big of a deal, but we want them to learn it is our private room. So we are trying to kick that habit. Down side of this, every time we try to make them sleep in their room, every few days, we get a late evening surprise - Dean (Hayden used to do this too) creeping in and saying “Momma” or “Daddy” and wanting to sleep with us. Since it is usually so late (or so early), we are usually too lazy to drag him back to his room. So he slips into bed between us, and the battle begins. We regularly get “H is for Hell.” And he is not a 1 year old as is the baby pictured. Thank goodness for a king size bed. The “Roundhouse Kick” is always a treat too.

When I was little, I used to sneak into my parents room early in the mornings, get riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight up in between them, and they loved me, so they called it being in “the basket.” I miss babyhood…
